Job Responsibility:

A varied apprenticeship learning all aspects of the processes of manufacturing high end hermetic metal packages and components, as well as gaining an understanding of the business as a whole.

This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious candidate with a desire to forge a career in manufacturing, providing excellent opportunities for future progression into management and or Technical roles within the company. The apprentice will be given a chance to move around all the different departments in the company, gaining an understanding of the business as a whole. You will work your way around the workshop, experiencing all aspects of the process of designing and manufacturing high end hermetic metal packages and components, including mechanical processes and programming to give you knowledge of the product from design through to completion.

• Using the CNC machine Operating industrial machinery, which can include a hydraulic press, grinder and lathe.
• Fitting the right tools to active machines Performing proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories
• Setting tolerance levels and cutting speeds
• Translates the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production.
• Inspecting workflows to ensure that technical and quality standards are met.

You must be ambitious and hard-working, with the ability to learn fast and adapt to different situations. You should have good people skills. you should also have a logical approach to problem solving and be able to work both as an individual and as part of a team Potential to move onto the Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship upon successful completion. Training Provided: You will attend Exeter college 2 days a week. Additional Information: Grade 4/C in Maths and English GCSE
