Role Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role involves procurement sourcing, timeline management, and quality assurance for Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) and Operating Supplies and Equipment (OS&E) to Marriott standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in procurement strategies, cost tracking, and price negotiation, ensuring that all sourced items meet our high standards of quality and value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Sourcing:
  • Identify and source high-quality FF&E and OS&E in line with Marriott standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and new products.
  • Timeline Management:
  • Develop and manage procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other departments to align procurement timelines with project deadlines.
  • Monitor and report on project procurement timelines and milestones.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections on deliveries to verify compliance with standards.
  • Address any quality issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly.
  • Procurement Strategies:
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure the best value.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Cost Tracking and Price Negotiation:
  • Track and manage procurement costs to stay within budget.
  • Utilize cost analysis and benchmarking to secure the best prices.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and expenditures.
  • Experience and Examples:
  • Provide examples of successful procurement projects or initiatives you have managed in the past.
  • Highlight your experience in sourcing FF&E and OS&E for high-standard clients, particularly in the hospitality sector.
  • Demonstrate your ability to negotiate favourable terms and manage supplier relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, particularly in the interior design or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier evaluation.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
