The UK Safran Electrical & Power team has expertise in designing and developing electrical systems comprising generators, power conversion, distribution and control, with developing expertise in electric motors for aircraft propulsion. The Role As a Procurement Buyer at Safran Electrical & Power you will manage and organise company purchasing requirements, building positive relationships with suppliers and securing the greatest products in aerospace technology, ensuring production requirements are always met. You will act as the focal point for day to day material requirements across a range of suppliers and vendors, solving issues and queries when necessary. You will utilise your innovative skills to be the driving force in implementing improvement actions to ensure KPI's are met, whilst building effective relationships both externally and internally.
- Manage and coordinate all company purchasing requirements across a defined list of suppliers.
- Act as the focal point for all day to day material requirements across an agreed range of suppliers.
- Be the driving force behind improvement actions via KPI review and maintenance.
- Manage deliveries of purchase orders to be just-in-time for inventory management.
- Communicate status of shipment schedules to suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Escalate, when appropriate, any significant issues that require management intervention or awareness.
- Work with suppliers to resolve any issues impacting performance, such as quality discrepancies and invoice query resolution.
- Coordinate with the purchasing teams and vendors to create robust and efficient supply chains.

Job requirements
We are looking for candidates with a range of skills and experience, but we're also keen to help people grow and develop in this role. If you have some or all of the following, we'd love to hear from you:
- Fluency in French or Spanish highly beneficial
- Previous experience in supply chain management
- Ability to build effective and sustainable relationships fundamental
- A high level of negotiation and influencing skills
- Previous knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
- Effective communicator at all levels both externally and internally
- Excellent analytical, numerical and planning skills
- Evidence of written English at interview stage
