Your New Role as Tax Senior:

As a Tax Senior, you will take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients. You will oversee the preparation of tax returns, provide expert tax advice, and ensure compliance with current tax legislation. You will also assist with complex tax planning and advisory projects, working closely with partners and clients to deliver tailored tax solutions. This role provides the opportunity to lead on key client relationships while mentoring junior members of the tax team.

Main Responsibilities:

In this role, you will manage personal and corporate tax compliance, preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You will provide tax planning and advisory support to clients, ensuring that their tax liabilities are minimized and that they comply with all relevant legislation. You will assist with tax enquiries, liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, and stay up to date with changes in tax law. Additionally, you'll take a hands-on role in training and developing junior staff, reviewing their work, and providing technical guidance.

The Experience & Qualifications Required:

The successful candidate will be CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified (or close to qualification) with significant experience in tax compliance and advisory, ideally gained within an accountancy practice. You should have a strong technical understanding of personal and corporate tax issues, with the ability to manage multiple client relationships and deliver effective tax solutions. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
