This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to learn and grow in the finance field. You will support our finance team in managing financial data, assisting with accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. All as part of the smooth day to day running of the finance function.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry & Record-Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including entering invoices, processing payments, and managing transactions.
- Support Financial Reporting: Help prepare basic financial reports and summaries for internal use, gaining exposure to the whole reporting process.
- Assisting with Budgeting: Provide support in the budgeting process by gathering data and helping to monitor actual spend / sales against the budget.
- Invoice Management: Support the accounts payable and receivable processes by handling invoices, lodging receipts and ensuring timely payments. As well as helping to forecast future cash movements.
- General Administrative Tasks: Assist the finance team with day-to-day administrative duties, including but not limited to organising files and maintaining documentation across all areas of the finance function.
What we're looking for:
. Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: A recent graduate or someone looking to change their career perhaps with a background in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Relevant coursework or internships are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with accounting software is advantageous but not required.
- Analytical Skills: An interest in working with numbers and basic analytical skills.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Working Conditions:
- A minimum of 3 days per week in the office, with expectation of working between both Kent and the London offices each week.
- Candidates can nominate their preferred main office location (Kent ME19 or London N1). (N.B. Travel expenses will be paid for travel to the other secondary office location as and when.)
- May require some travel to meet with clients or attend industry events on an ad-hoc basis.
