Working as part of the Warehouse & Logistics (W&L) team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the primary focus of this role is to perform a range of warehouse and engineering stores activities for both the rivet and equipment business operations.
In addition, the Warehouse & Stores Lead Operator will be responsible for deputising for the W&L Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Support goods inwards and outwards with managing deliveries and collections.
- Pick and pack orders for despatch, ensuring all items are picked efficiently accurately and packed to the required standard.
- Pick and prepare internal works orders, ensuring all items are picked efficiently and accurately.
- In both cases, be proactive in identifying and flagging any shortages and/or discrepancies with pick lists.
- Use the warehouse computer operating system(s) as and when required to support with the above tasks.
- Deputize as required the for the W&L Manager and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department.
- Be proactive in supporting the team in their day-to-day duties and other internal departments.

- In all cases, work in a safe and responsible manner at all times.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the company and W&L Manager.
Education/Qualifications/Experience
- Previous experience of working within a warehouse and stores environment, ideally within manufacturing.
- Counter balance Fork Lift Truck Licence.
- Supervisory and/or line management experience is desired but not essential.
- NVQ in a stores related discipline would be advantageous.
- Basic IT skills are a requirement and the use of warehouse management systems would be advantageous.
