We are recruiting for a keen junior DBA to add to our awesome team here at Evri. Training and mentoring will lead to you becoming accountable for the management and administration of Evri database systems in AWS and OCI.
You will be accountable for:
- Monitoring databases to ensure optimal performance at all times.
- Maintaining data integrity by monitoring database activity to ensure that it meets regulations on security and compliance.
- Performing disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Creating and executing backup procedures to protect data from loss or corruption.
- Installing and upgrading database software to ensure that it is compatible with current technology standards.
- Developing or testing new database applications where needed.
- Writing custom scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Troubleshooting database issues and providing resolution within SLAs
To be successful in this role, you will have enthusiasm and interest in all things database! A computer science degree is preferred though not essential if general knowledge of IT has been obtained through work experience.
You will also have;
- Knowledge of relational database management systems with Oracle preferred but not essential
- Basic PL/SQL scripting experience
- Knowledge of ITIL and ITIL tools such as Service Now
- Scrum/kanban experience
- Linux O/S basic knowledge
- Oracle database certification is preferred.
- AWS certification preferred.
