Job Responsibility:

Working Full Time: 37.5 Hours Per Week Band 3 Senior NROL Clerical Officer To provide an effective, high quality administrative support service to the Neuro Online Therapy Service (NROL) working within the Neurorehabiltation department Ellesmere Port Hospital and remotely with therapists and patients across Cheshire and Mersey. The NROL team is newly established team setting up an Online Neurotherapy Service across Cheshire and Mersey. a forward looking and proactive multidisciplinary team providing therapy services across the acute and primary healthcare sector within West Cheshire Area. Following a successful SQuIRE (Stroke quality Improvement for Rehabilitation) Catalyst bid by Cheshire and Mersey Region Integrated Stroke Delivery Network, the Countess of Chester Hospital has been chosen to host the implementation of NROL in collaboration with other NHS Trusts in the Cheshire and Mersey region. NROL is an innovative online program providing virtual stroke rehabilitation group therapy. The NROL team includes neurothearapists, psychologists, assistants, the Stroke association, technology support and admin. To manage online referral and appointment service for all patients attending the Online neuro therapy service. To undertake duties associated with the registration processes and, where applicable, working with therapists across Cheshire and Mersey to ensure that all patient contacts are communicated and recorded by the relevant NHS Trust. To answer any queries, record patient feedback and collect outcome measures for the NROL Service, assist with data collection and appointment management, deal with telephone calls appropriately, including message taking and forwarding. To be able to communicate effectively and collaboratively with both patients and staff new to the NROL service and have knowledge of EMIS/Cerner The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and to Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. Its services are provided from three locations: The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 438 general and acute beds Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 56 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population. The Trust employs over 6258 staff (headcount) which includes temporary bank staff and provides acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services and obstetric services to a population of approximately 407,000. This includes 357,000 residents in Chester and West Cheshire which includes Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the Deeside area of Flintshire which has a population of approximately 50,000. The Trust is a busy district general hospital and in 2022/2023, there were more than 503,342 patient attendances (inpatient, outpatient and diagnostic) ranging from a simple outpatient appointment to major cancer surgery. This is an increase of nearly 10,000 compared to the previous year when there were 494,387 patient attendances. See Job Description for further details. The cost of the DBS application is £23 (standard) or £43 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.
