Position:

This is an exciting opportunity for an highly organised and proactive candidate to join the Chief Executive Office team and be in the heart of a busy and thriving office.

Working for a major provider of asset management services to local government pension schemes, the PA will be responsible for providing high level confidential support to the Chief Officers by providing a full secretarial and administrative service, ensuring that effective planning and administrative systems are in place and maintained efficiently and effectively.

In addition, the post holder will support the planning and organising of our presence at external events. The ideal candidate will thrive in fast paced environment, possess exceptional communication skills

Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Competence:

  • Experience of providing high-level administrative support in a senior role
  • The ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels and a wide range of external contacts in a high pressure environment
  • First class interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent, administrative skills including the ability to identify administrative needs and develop and maintain appropriate systems to meet them
  • Strong literacy and verbal reasoning and proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); scheduling appointments/updating calendars.
  • Ability to take accurate minutes, including being able to interpret and sum up complex discussions concisely
  • Demonstrates initiative
  • Self-starter/ability to use initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and within strict timescales
  • Flexibility in working across a variety of tasks
  • Highly organised & eye for detail.
  • Shorthand/audio skills would be advantageous

Qualifications

  • GCSE level or equivalent
  • NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent
