Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship - Alexander McLeod Primary School

A Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship at Alexander McLeod Primary School involves supporting teachers in creating a positive and effective learning environment. Responsibilities include preparing the classroom for lessons, assisting with lesson plans, and providing support to children across the curriculum. The role also involves offering extra assistance to children with special needs, recording and reporting student progress to the teacher, and marking work. Teaching Assistants motivate and encourage students, supervise them during school trips or activities, and provide personal care when needed. Additionally, they attend meetings, care for children who are unwell or upset, and contribute to maintaining high standards of behavior and conduct in line with the school's values of resilience, respect, and perseverance.

Key Details:

Salary: £6.40 per hour, paid monthly

Working week: Monday to Friday, 30 hours a week, hours to be discussed with employer (Term Time only, Study all year around)

Notice Period: 1 Month

Apprenticeship Details - 18 months expected duration to complete, working towards your Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification. (All learning is delivered online/remote).

Training Provider: LMP Education (rated 8th best UK training provider)
