Queens College Day Nursery is a small, open planned nursery within the picturesque and tranquil location of Owlstone in Newnham, central Cambridge. The nursery has the capacity for 25 children split between three rooms; 0-2 years, 2-3 years and 3-5 years. The nursery employs 8 full and part-time staff and is open from 8.30am - 5.15pm 52 weeks a year.

Wigwam Nurseries Ltd operate the nursery on behalf of Queens College. We are a small group of 5 day nurseries. Each nursery has been carefully adapted and refurbished to an extremely high standard and is well equipped with natural, high quality, stimulating resources. We are are an OFSTED Outstanding, Early Education and Care Provider.

Each nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and encompasses a child centred approach to play and learning. What will I be doing as a Room Leader?

●Manage a small room

●Work 08:15 -17:15, Monday to Friday

●Building positive and trusting relationships with children and outstanding parent partnerships.

● Providing a safe, hygienic, caring and stimulating environment for the children.

● Ensuring that the physical, emotional, social and intellectual education and care provided to children is of the highest standard.

● Planning, carrying out and recording fun, inspirational and educational play and learning opportunities.

Am I qualified for this job?

● A full and relevant Early Years & Childcare qualification at level 3 (Early Years Educator) is required for this role.

● In some cases, English & Maths GCSE's at grade C or functional skills level 2 in English & Maths is required.

●Experience of working with children is essential.

What are the working hours?

●08:15 -17:15, Monday to Friday
