As our Tax Technical Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in providing technical insights to our client-facing teams. Your deep knowledge of corporation tax matters will empower our employees to make informed decisions. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with our learning and development lead partner and tax technical director to address broader technical questions affecting our clients.

What you'll be doing day to day
Technical resources
- Maintain an up-to-date online and hard-copy library for the tax practice.
- Review new products for efficiency benefits.
- Assist the Tax Technical Director in monitoring resource value and user licenses.
- Manage timely delivery of relevant corporation tax information, including tax news and key court decisions.
Efficiencies
- Supporting the implementation and managing an advice note repository system.
- Maintain the tax landing page on the firm's intranet.
Training (in collaboration with the Learning & Development lead partner and tax technical director)
- Suggest relevant corporation tax and business tax content for junior Tax staff and other departments.
- Provide focused corporation tax training to the Tax Department.
- Identify upskilling needs for staff in Audit, Business Advisory, and Professional Practices Departments.
- Manage requests for external specialist tax courses.
Risk Management
- Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and industry best practice requirements.
- Review standard engagement letters and addendum letters for other service lines.
- Collaborate with the corporate tax compliance group to update process control sheets.
- Conduct regular tax standards reviews, recommend improvements, and monitor procedural compliance.
About you
- CTA qualified
- Currently working at Manager or Senior Manager level in Practice
- Sound working knowledge of all areas of taxation, with high level expertise in corporate taxes
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of providing/publishing written technical analysis and lecturing/presentation of technical knowledge
