Job Responsibility:

General Purpose:

To assist the Operations team, and ensure all products are prepared and ready for despatch to customers.

Duties include:

· Providing production support, again as required to other departments

· Working a flexible schedule to keep up with production demand during busy production periods

· Keeping the machines and work area clean and tidy during the shift

· Working cordially with team members

· Meeting production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity and quality

· Paying constant attention to surroundings to reduce accidents and injuries

· Any additional tasks that fall within your competency as directed by supervisors/managers

Essential skills required:

· Accuracy and attention to detail

· Able to work as part of a team

· Flexible approach to duties and tasks

· Readily accepts responsibility and ownership.

· Organized, Punctual and Influential.

· Able to work upon direction or autonomously.

Desirable:

· Full training will be given but experience in a stores & manufacturing environment would be beneficial

· Knowledge of kanban / pull systems / VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) and Consignment Stock

· MRP, MRPII or ERP experience.

· Forklift truck licence

· An engineering or technical background.

Education and Qualifications:

Essential:

· IT/Computer literacy - MS Office Suite, to intermediate level.

· Educated to GCE/GCSE or equivalent

Desirable:

· Lean / Continuous Improvement Techniques
