The job role:
Principal HVAC are a well-established modern, progressive company, providing a professional and efficient Air Conditioning and Ventilation service to our Clients throughout the UK & ROI.
Due to increasing demand for our services we are looking for a proactive and organised Stores Operative to join a small team and ensure the smooth running of the stores department. You must show initiative and be willing to learn the equipment that is involved with air conditioning and ventilation works.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all Principal HVAC stores operations
- Complete operational tasks - prioritize workload with business needs to maximize productivity
- Check stock levels and report deficiencies in products or raw materials
- Post stock inventory movements to/from stores, picking, packing, and co-ordinating delivery of orders. Communicate updates, status, & action items to / from site engineers related to stock requests
- Receive, check and safely store products, materials and distributing goods. Reporting defective products or items
- Maintain and record site/workshop based tools, equipment, PPE & uniform, driving compliance, safe storage, and maintenance
- Maintain and organise all company vehicles to ensure roadworthiness compliances and recording - booking PSV, Servicing etc
- Responsible for stock updates, and the stock requisitions, controlling documentation of all store stock movements, and transactions
- Review and report on the key store metrics (sales, transactions, usage, condition)
- Provide general operational support within stores, to field, and to business units
- Perform general maintenance and warehouse duties, Keeping the worksite clean to avoid hazards from chemicals and fragile products
- Maintain inventory control and loss prevention. Troubleshooting and maintaining store equipment and loss prevention
- Transfer equipment manually or with forklift trucks
- Assist with vendor relationships to create, develop, and maintain product and pricing
- Implement store procedures and communications to ensure compliance with ISO - Follow the company's safety and quality procedures and guidelines
- Ensure good relations and communication with all members of the team, providing excellent customer care in an efficient manner.
Experience & Qualifications
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast paced environment, meeting deadlines of tasks
- Previous experience in a similar role ideal but not essential
- Experience with stock control/procurement, and great organisational skills.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and able to proficiently use a computer
- Excellent communication skills
- Honest with good work ethic
- Forklift licence (preferred, but not essential as training will be given)
- CSR (preferred, but not essential as training will be given)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.50-£14.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
