Join Close Brothers Property Finance Team where you will will support the Lending Teams and their portfolio of customers with various transactional and account management tasks including customer payments, invoice processing, sale receipts, account closures and bank account reconciliations. Working as part of the Business Operations team our ideal team member will have previous experience of bank account reconciliations and payment with excellent communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively manage your day-to-day workload by contributing to the Business Operations Team rota, supporting colleagues as required
  • Work closely with Business Operations Team, HoBO (Head of Business Operations) and other relevant stakeholders to continuously improve and maintain consistent operational business processes across the Property Finance and Commercial Acceptance businesses
  • Input data and transactions into Aurius, the loan management system
  • Check, monitor and verify account data, always ensuring accuracy of customer records
  • Deal with key processes such as loan redemptions and account closures
  • Process invoices to customer accounts and purchase invoices for the business
  • Upload and release funds in Bankline, the RBS Banking portal
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and daily reconciliations of control accounts
  • Ensure that all business payments comply with the relevant regulations and compliance policies
  • Process monthly statements and credit control letters
  • Create and maintain effective procedures and policies relating to the Business Operations Team
  • Undertaking ad hoc projects assigned by the HoBO
  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

  • Experience in a property lending environment, financial reporting, back office, or operational role
  • A thorough understanding of bank account reconciliations and payment processes
  • Good computer skills, being competent and confident in everyday use of Microsoft Office and an excellent working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate financial data
  • High degree of written and numerical accuracy
  • Experience of banking, treasury and/or payment systems
  • Good time management skills
  • Able to work within a small professional team and adaptable to the changing requirements/priorities of the business
  • Sound inter-personal skills to interact with people at all levels
