We are looking for a Principal Designer Advisor to join our Infrastructure team in Leavesden.
What you'll do:
- Be accountable and responsible for the delivery of the duties of Principal Designer on behalf of Skanska for the projects allocated by the Head of Design Management. Note this may be on multiple projects.
- To deliver the duties in line with current CDM legislation and in-line with the procedures laid down in OWOW.
- Integrate with the project or contract teams to deliver the Principal Designers duties, attending the contacts and sites in person to support all necessary stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure the management of Temporary Works are fully integrated.
- Ensure accurate and up to date documents are maintained including production of Pre-Construction information, CDM risk registers and H&S files, as required for each project.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience in management of pre-construction, construction and handover phases of projects.
- Holds a professional qualification from a relevant professional body ICE, CIHT etc.
- Hold a minimum of IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS however preferably Nebosh Construction Certificate
- Auditing experience and qualification desirable
- Permanent Works Design and or Temporary works Design experience desirable.
