Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the HR department with various administrative tasks and contribute to the overall efficiency of the HR operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be required to provide an efficient administrative service within the HR and Training Department. Duties to include:
1. Providing a full administrative service using Word, Excel and in-house systems.
2. General administration to include filing, typing, data entry, shredding, scanning and receiving incoming calls.
3. To order stationary and training room supplies for the Department.
4. To collect and distribute the post within the HR and Training Department.
5. To prepare the training room. Duties to include setting up the room, preparing drinks, cleaning up etc.
6. To check daily the HR Inbox and reponse back by email or phone call.
7. To regret unsuccessful applicants by email or letter and prepare audits reports.
8. To send out application forms and job description to potential applicants.
11. To send out memorandums, risk assessments and other documents and to track receipt acknowledgments.
12. To invite applicants for interview. Sending correspondence and arranging meeting rooms etc.
13. To make up New Starter Folders for all new employees.
14. To assist with New Starter Inductions as required.
15. Support in managing social media platforms for HR-related activities.
16. Communicate effectively with employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
Applicants should be professional and confident, able to communicate at all levels and work well as part of a team. Experience of Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to prioritise workload is essential.
During this 18 month apprenticeship you will learn and gain an insight into all areas of a HR and Training Department. The successful applicant will also undertake a Level 2 in Business Administration whilst undertaking their normal duties. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to pursue a career in Human Resources, Training or Administration.
This is a government funded apprenticeship scheme and therefore attracts an apprenticeship rate of pay. Hours of work are Monday to Friday from 09.00am to 18.00pm with a one hour break for lunch.
