We pride ourselves in providing children with a unique nursery experience. Our outstanding nursery provides a safe and secure environment with the addition of animals, meadows, and fresh country air.

A Nursery Practitioner, is to create and maintain safe, and welcoming learning environments for the children. They are responsible for understanding, supporting and working with children to provide fantastic learning opportunities.

Working week

Monday to Friday

Hours between 07:30-18:30

40 hours per week total

Qualification gained

Early Years Educator Level 3

Wage

£7.30 per hour ( National Minimum Wage as opposed to National Apprenticeship Wage)

Start date

ASAP

  • 40 hours per week
  • Working between 0730-1830
  • Over 5 days or 4 days (can be discussed)
  • £6.83 per hour which rises to £7.30 on April 1st
  • Candidates could do with driving as it is in a rural location
  • Qualities: Genuine desire to work in childcare; Hard working; Conscientious; Uses initiative

Daily Duties

  • To support the room supervisor and nursery management with the daily running of the nursery
  • To assist with the full care of children, i.e. ensuring their physical needs (food & personal hygiene) are met.
  • Assist with safe, creative, appropriate play opportunities,preparing activities through an organised programme.
  • Consistently meeting legislative requirements and delivering outstanding standards.
  • Assist with the provision of healthy/ nutritional snacks and meals.
  • Assist with daily parent forms, observations and assessments etc.

Qualities

  • Approachable with excellent interpersonal & communicational skills.
  • Good time management, with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to remain calm, positive and enthusiastic when working under pressure.
  • Passionate about children's learning.
  • Work in partnership with our SEN co-ordinator, parents & professionals

Essential qualifications

Maths or English at GCSE Level A-C (4-9)
