Team and role overview
The Digital client segment is the fastest growing Wealth distribution channel within BlackRock's iShares & Wealth business in EMEA, catalysed by growing demand from self-directed investors. To ensure that BlackRock is well positioned to capture this demand, we recently formed the ‘EMEA Digital Wealth Business', bringing together colleagues across Distribution, Marketing and Client Partnerships to drive scale and efficiency across the client segment. The Digital Wealth business is driving industry transformation while making investing more accessible for millions of people across the region.
The Digital Distribution business is leading our sales efforts across the digital client channel including traditional brokerage platforms, digital challenger firms (fintechs), and existing or emerging online channels of incumbent banks. We are seeking a Vice President to join Digital Distribution in the UK to develop and maintain our relationships with digital investment platforms.
Reporting to the Co-Head of Digital Distribution in EMEA, this position will cultivate our key relationships with digital distributors, positioning BlackRock as a valued commercial and strategic partner. The role provides an exciting opportunity to drive the growth of an emerging, disruptive segment. It would suit someone who takes the initiative, has an interest in digital disruption and is focussed on delivering creative outcomes. It is a cross-functional role and would require extensive collaboration across iShares & Wealth UK, Digital Distribution EMEA and many other internal teams across BlackRock.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop deep relationships with digital investment platforms and drive the execution of partnerships across incumbent brokerage platforms, retail banks and fast-growing fintechs
- Lead partnership opportunity execution by orchestrating BlackRock functions across investment products, marketing, PR and technology
- Rethink and refine BlackRock's approach to partnering with digital distribution platforms to ensure leadership in this segment and to collaboratively drive distribution
- Challenge and evolve our strategy in Digital Wealth in the UK, taking learnings from Europe, the US and Asia
- Produce and maintain high quality client-facing materials to support sales activities
- Drive strategic projects relating to Digital Wealth expansion as they arise
- Support Digital Wealth leadership with ad-hoc initiatives as required
Experience and skills:
- 5-10 years' experience including in a financial services sales' role or in a digital investing business
- Deep understanding of the Digital Wealth and self-directed investment market, including various digital platform business models (e.g. online brokers, traditional banks, fintechs, robo advisors) as well as the broader ecosystem
- Understanding of trends and developments in the Digital Wealth market Globally, including regulatory developments and their implications
- Strong knowledge of the sales process, closing and long-term relationship management
- Ability to drive commercial outcomes, with strong presentation / communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment across functions, ask targeted questions, and manage a variety of stakeholders
- Familiar with product set, especially ETFs, index mutual funds, active mutual funds and private markets
- Demonstrates creativity, intellectual curiosity, and strong ownership mindset; candidate should be a self-starter and motivated to go above and beyond to deliver impact
- Has a deep intellectual curiosity around business model evolution and a passion for digital disruption
Skills/Qualifications
- At least a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or an equal professional experience
- Client and sales oriented, very high-quality standards
- Language skills: Fluent in spoken and written English; Other language skills are helpful but not mandatory
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excels skills to create customized presentations, present information effectively and to extract valuable information out of raw-data

Our hybrid work model
