Job Responsibility:

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nuffield Department of Medicine. You will be joining the Mathematical, Epidemiological and Economic Modelling group lead by Dr Ricardo Aguas. You will be responsible for managing your own academic research and administrative activities, and for developing and applying epidemiological and economic modelling of priority diseases in an LMIC setting of the candidate's choice. You will also be providing proof of concept in developing a new national research group in an LMIC with mentoring from the PI to include submission of funding proposals; publication of modelling research and outreach to key national public health partners. You will also be writing and submitting research papers in the field of economic and/or epidemiological modelling on public health issues. To be successful in this role, you will hold a PhD (on be close to completion) in economic modelling or a related topic with an excellent academic track record. You will also have experience of independently managing a discrete area of a research project, and writing research articles for publication as the first or corresponding author.
