Coventry University Competitive starting salary range from £44,965 up to £51,314 (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered. The Role As Senior Teaching Fellow in Clinical Psychology you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of the Clinical Psychology Doctorate and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience. Senior Teaching Fellows lead on aspects of the student learning experience including the leadership of staff teams. Based within the School of Health and Care, you will work with and lead other academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience. The School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings including nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practice, diagnostic radiography, clinical psychology and public health. Qualifications
  • Master's degree in an appropriate subject OR (if from a professional practice background) a good Honors Degree and an appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
  • A teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education
  • PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous
Our Successful Candidate You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education in Clinical Psychology with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning. Applications are invited from BABCP accredited Psychological Therapists, who also have a good understanding and working knowledge of the PWP role, of low-intensity interventions, and have appropriate experience as an educator and manager in order to be able to lead a programme of this kind.
