About us
We are supportive, rewarding, engaging, and our goal is to provide accessible, high quality geography tuition enabling students to reach their next steps.
We are Geography Academy, a niche tuition agency that specialises in providing students with high quality geography tuition. We take geography seriously and are dedicated to providing a professional experience for out tutors, parents and students.
Most of our tutees are students from private families who are preparing for GCSE or A-Level geography. They may have had adverse experiences in the classroom, or are aiming to improve their grade to meet or exceed entrance requirements. In addition to this, we are working to provide group tutoring environments for disadvantaged families.
Our business is new but growing fast and we are looking to connect with new tutors. We are looking for experienced educators to work for us on a freelance basis, providing online tuition to students hoping to get the best grades they can in Geography. We are fully committed to Safer Recruitment and Safeguarding in everything we do.
Our Geography tutors have a Geography degree (or variation) from a top Russell group university. They have PGCE qualified teacher status and evidence of impact in the classroom by way of outstanding grades. You may have something that sets you aside, perhaps you're head of department, hold a masters degree or have recent examiner training. You should be fluent in helping students progress and be able to create rapid impact through exam results.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:
- An undergraduate geography degree (or variation) and PGCE qualification.
- At least 2-3 years experience teaching A-Level or GCSE for one of the major exam boards; AQA, Edexcel, OCR or WJEC.

- The ability to adminstrate, plan, execute and feedback excellent lessons in an online setting (Google Classroom or otherwise).
REFERENCES
- Strong references from a current employer.
- A current DBS certificate.
