Job Responsibility:

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Grounds Maintenance Apprentice to join our growing team based at our Qualis Property Solutions office in Loughton, Essex.

The purpose of the role:

Apprenticeships are available to anyone aged 16 or over and combine working with studying to gain skills and knowledge in a specific job. Apprentices spend 20% of their working hours on ‘off the job' training which could involve studying at home, attending a training provider, college or university or work shadowing in your workplace. The remainder of the time is spent within the company gaining highly relevant experience within the team.

This exciting role includes a part-time level 2 qualification in Horticulture which will last 24 months. You will be mentored by one of our gardeners within our Grounds Maintenance team.

Remuneration:

The salary: The ideal candidate will join us on a full-time basis in return for a salary up to £13,500 per annum plus other benefits. Exact salary will reflect your experience and skill set and dependent on the National Minimum Wage age banding.

Your key responsibilities will include:

As part of your apprenticeship, you will work alongside our experienced Gardeners providing Grounds Maintenance services throughout the Epping Forest District. Typically, you will be using a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment to maintain sites and you will learn all aspects of:

• Grass Cutting
• Shrub Bed & Hedge Maintenance
• Bedding Plant and Flower Bed Display & Maintenance
• Soft Landscaping

Additionally, you will also develop an important set of people skills and learn to:

• demonstrate our core values of working as one team, taking personal ownership, thinking commercially and being customer focused.

The qualifications and experience you will gain at the end of the apprenticeship are:

• Level 2 qualification in Horticulture
