Job Responsibility:

Job Title: Interim Medical Workforce Project Lead

Trust: South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust

Location: Trust-wide, main location in Croydon, CR0 1FE

Hours: full time, 37,5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00

What you'll be responsible for:

· Lead and mentor the medical HR team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.

· Implement processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations.

· Work closely with the payroll department to resolve complex payroll queries, both new and historical.

· Review and design safe, effective rotas for out-of-hours work schedules.

· Oversee health rosters to ensure optimal staffing and patient care.

· Advise medical managers on employee relations issues, maintaining high professional standards.

· Provide guidance on managing performance, conflict resolution, and other HR-related matters.

· Review and update existing policies and procedures to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.

· Support the development of new policies to enhance workforce management and operational efficiency.

· Lead and support various projects aimed at improving medical HR functions and workforce management.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

· Proven experience in medical HR management, including payroll and rota management.

· Strong understanding of employee relations and HR best practices.

· Excellent leadership and team development skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Experience in overseeing health rosters and workforce scheduling.

This role may require you to show evidence of education at Master's level or at least 2 years relevant experience.
