As a Strategy and Business Operations Associate, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, develop strategic insights, and implement processes that drive efficiency and growth. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and operational expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute business strategies that align with Merge's goals.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and provide actionable insights to drive decision-making.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage strategic projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company objectives.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of business strategies and operations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams such as Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to ensure alignment and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in business strategy roles (Management consulting, Hedge Fund, Banking, Operations at a start-up, etc.), preferably in the fintech or payments industry.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and CRM software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for solving complex problems, and building scalable processes.
  • Comfort working in a high growth, constantly changing environment.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of the B2B fintech and payments industry is a plus.
