Job Responsibility:

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for primarily supporting the Senior Manager Strategic Marketing and Events with the global events program with a focus on the development and execution of an events and sponsorship strategy for the Americas as well as a global program of webinars that aligns corporate objectives with business sector plans. This role will also manage the global media advertising budget and support the development and execution of corporate advertising campaigns in coordination with the Director, External Communications.

What You Will Do:

  • Supports the planning, development and execution of an effective America's events strategy as directed by the Senior Manager Strategic Marketing and Events aligned to business sector campaigns with corporate branding and messaging strategy. Also provides support for the implementation of the broader global events strategy as required. Event engagements include, but are not limited to, webinars, industry conferences, trade shows, thought leadership opportunities, client and industry engagements.
  • Develops and executes a global program of ABS webinars, in coordination with the strategic marketing team.
  • Supports development and management of the annual media advertising budget in coordination with the Director, External Communications. Liaises with the industry trade media to secure opportunities and maximize ad value.
  • Supports development and execution of advertising programs to support corporate campaign initiatives in partnership with the Strategic Marketing Managers.
  • Manages ad selection, production through graphics team, timely delivery of advertising content for placement with media outlets and provides regular reporting on effectiveness and results.
  • Negotiates agreements with vendors and sponsor contacts to ensure best value and highest quality of service and return on investment. Liaises with vendors of print, production, graphics, promotional items and trade show services.
  • Responsible for demonstrating a commitment to total quality and the process of continuous improvement, identifying and responding actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all clients and being open and responsive to change.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, or related discipline, preferred, although extensive industry experience in related areas may also be considered appropriate preparation.
  • Typically requires 3-5 years of marketing-related experience.
  • A valid right to work in the UK

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and team skills and attention to detail.
  • Strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. ‘
  • Must be a self-starter and able to assume a high level of individual responsibility.
  • Strong hands-on experience planning and executing events of all sizes.
  • Professional creativity and flexibility are essential.
  • Must be able to apply strong problem-solving and organization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven time management skills which demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Some travel required (up to 25% at times)
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions, as well as the ABS Employee Safety Policy.
  • Ability to operate professionally and effectively in a corporate environment.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to a Manager, Director, or Executive level position.
