Job Responsibility:

Beacon Support Ltd. are recruiting Specialist One-to-One Study Skills and Strategy Support Tutors to work with Higher Education students. The position offers flexible hours to work around you, whilst helping to make a difference to students' educational experiences.

We have students with specific learning differences (SpLDs) including dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, ADHD and ASC, who require one to one support with their higher education studies. Tutors work with an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and act as facilitators to help students develop learning strategies that will improve their study skills and enable them to become independent learners.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working with individuals with specific learning differences, ideally in higher or further education.
  • Educated to degree level
  • Welsh speaking desirable

This is a specialist role, therefore you must hold a professional membership with one of the following professional bodies: PATOSS, BDA, ADSHE or Dyslexia Guild.

Applicants must be willing to meet with students on a face-to-face basis if this is a request for their support provision.
