Job Description :

Bath Gateway Out & About is a social club for adults with learning disabilities, offering them an opportunity to meet up with friends, take part in enriching activities and access the local community. We are looking for a Club Leader to organise and lead twice weekly club sessions Monday & Wednesday evenings 6.30pm – 9.30pm for our members who have a range of learning disabilities. There is massive scope within this really exciting role to develop and improve . We will also pay for a further six hours initially (to be reviewed for right candidate ) for the planning and administration around the role.

You will also work closely with and manage our volunteers, who are instrumental to the success of the Charity. You will need to build lasting relationships across the community of Bath to ensure the club sessions are fun, rewarding and offer value for money.

You will need to be organised and efficient with experience of working with vulnerable people . The successful candidate should have a good knowledge of a wide range of learning disabilities and previous experience of working in this sector would be preferred.

The candidate will definitely need to be a bright, massively positive, enthusiastic and outgoing person, easily able to engage with and motivate persons with a wide spectrum of learning disabilities and other disabilities. We promise you will have Fun and a huge sense of achievement.

Location: Bath and occassional travel for fun days , day trips etc

Hours: 12 hours per week (including Monday and Wednesday evenings 6:30pm – 9:30pm).

Annual salary: £23,000 – £26,000 pro rata (equivalent to £4,906.67 – £5,760 per annum, actual).

Closing date: 5pm on Sunday 26th May – or sooner if post is filled earlier

Candidates must be resident in Bath or the surrounding area.
