We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Street Cleansing Team Leader/Supervisor to join our Amey One Trafford account. This role will be based on-site at Tatton House - M23 9LF. Amey is a leading infrastructure services and engineering company. We are trusted partners of Government both national and local - managing assets and complex projects that are vital to the sustainable growth of the country.

The Street Cleansing service is responsible for the cleanliness of the whole of Trafford and undertakes a range of street cleaning and street care activities to ensure that public spaces across the Borough are maintained to a high environmental quality. The Council operates in accordance with the code of practice on litter and refuse, thereby helping to provide an attractive and diverse environment, where people feel safe and secure.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated supervisor to play a key role in helping us achieve improved national standards of cleanliness. The applicant will, primarily be supervising the cleansing and removal of litter, fly-tips, and graffiti from the highway and public areas.

The standard hours of work are 37.5 per week,

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining high standards and oversee safety briefings and toolbox talks
  • Ensuring team and public safety in compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Monitoring resource utilisation and conduct cost-value analyses
  • Liaising with various contractors, manage records, and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Coordinating day-to-day maintenance operations and managing resources efficiently
