Job Responsibility:

This role requires someone with enthusiasm and tenacity to drive the business forward. You will like motivating people, creating strategy and developing hotel occupancy as a part of sales team department. The business operates 54 Bedrooms, a Bistro and The View Cafe & Bar. We offer unique working opportunities, in a friendly and supportive environment.

You will have a strong emphasis on selling rooms to guests, corporate clients and groups. You will work closely with management to ensure that all avenues and opportunities are explored.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in selling and communicating, whether in person or by telephone and email. Hotel experience would be an advantage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors current client base or target market for the hotel.
  • Update booking system with groups and rooming lists.
  • Devises new ways to expand that client base.
  • Develops promotional and advertising materials for the hotel with email marketing campaigns, social media and printed articles.
  • Oversees distribution of marketing materials.
  • Meets with representatives from these companies to explain the hotel's amenities.
  • Responds to group inquiries and follows up the bookings.
  • Processes payments and applies discounts as necessary.
  • Addresses and resolves any issues or complaints regarding sales or marketing.
  • Ensures that guests are enjoying their stay at the hotel and that large group needs are met.
  • Maintains positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat and recurring business.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates strong organisational skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to think creatively.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively.

Rate of pay is dependant on experience and will be reviewed on completion of trial period.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.82 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 24 per week
