An exciting opportunity has arisen in Admiral Pioneer for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fleet Underwriter. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a critical role in contributing to the strategic growth and financial success of a prominent player in the insurance industry.

  • Strategic underwriting: underwriting fleet policies, but also your role goes beyond this; you're helping to craft the blueprint for our entire portfolio. Your decisions are informed by a comprehensive understanding of underwriting guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Portfolio management: your keen eye for opportunity as well as relationship management ensures that our portfolio remains diverse, resilient, and aligned with our strategic objectives.
  • Decision-making team: as a member of the decision-making team, your insights carry weight. You're instrumental in shaping our strategic direction, contributing to discussions on risk appetite, product innovation, and market positioning.
  • Technical guidance: you will provide technical assistance on underwriting matters, ensuring that our decisions are grounded in sound underwriting principles.
  • Policy development: your input into policy development is crucial. You contribute to the creation and refinement of policy wordings and documentation, ensuring that they meet the needs of our customers and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance oversight: Compliance is a fundamental aspect of our operation. You work closely with the Risk & Compliance team to ensure that our underwriting practices are compliant with internal processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Commercial motor expertise: your deep understanding of commercial motor insurance enriches our underwriting processes. You identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the board.
  • Documentation management: your attention to detail ensures that our policy wordings and documentation are clear, accurate, and legally sound. You play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers and partners understand their coverage and obligations.
  • Statistical analysis: your ability to compile and analyse statistical data provides valuable insights for strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
