Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Instructor to join our team.

This is a part time job, based in South Croydon: Mondays 5-8pm, Tuesdays 3-8pm and Thursdays 4.30-9pm. Offering a total of roughly twelve and a half hours a week.

As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hydrotherapy and rehabilitation exercise sessions. Experience organising and running such sessions are required. These will be designed to assist people who struggle to do such exercises on land. Hydrotherapy helps to relax the muscles, and provide the strength, mobility, and flexibility a lot of clients can struggle with on a day-to-day basis. Knowledge of the benefits of hydrotherapy and alternative therapies are desired but not required.

Rehabilitation facilities are integral to community healthcare, helping patients who no longer receive therapy from the NHS, Social Services or the private sector but still require therapies to stay healthy and maintain independence. Helping to clear the NHS backlog and keeping hospital beds free for those who need them, therefore, beneficial to the general health of the community.

Duties:

• Develop and execute hydrotherapy sessions to meet the needs of all your clients.
• Conduct initial assessments to gauge a client's abilities and specific needs and goals.
• Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Maintain current documentation on all the clients treated and work alongside other members of the rehabilitation and instructor team.
• Administration tasks related to client medical history and current exercise regimes.

Skills:

• Qualification in healthcare related field such as rehabilitation practitioner, physiotherapist etc.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey information.
• Excellent organizational skills to plan and manage sessions effectively.
• Strong listening skills.
• Ability to work independently, and within a team.
• Patience and empathy in working with clients of varying abilities.
