Job Responsibility:

As a pastry chef you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the production of various pastries, viennoiseries, cakes and savoury items. This is a key role where the ideal candidate must have skills, expertise and consistency while being passionate about producing high quality food.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Kitchen staff to plan, prepare and execute pastry menus and offerings.
  • Bake a selection of fresh cakes, pastries and desserts daily.
  • Oversee daily pastry production, ensuring adherence to recipes, quality standards and timelines.
  • Supervise pastry kitchen staff, providing guidance, training and support if needed.
  • Maintain inventory levels, monitor supplies and place orders to ensure adequate stock.
  • Ensuring high levels of Food and Health & Safety are maintained at all time.
  • Contribute to menu development, innovation and the creation of new pastry items.
  • Ensure stock rotation and food labelling.
  • Collaborate with other team members to provide excellent customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with the front team to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered in a timely manner.

You must:

  • Be passionate about high quality patisseries and/or viennoiseries.
  • Have strong knowledge of pastry techniques.
  • Have a high level of detail and presentation in the food you produce.
  • Have great time-management skills.
  • Have experience working in Pastry in a restaurant or a bakery for at least year.
  • Have good communication skills and the ability to work positively in a team.
  • Be flexible to work early morning and weekend shifts.
  • Be committed to delivering a high level of customer and client satisfaction.
