Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Finance Executive to join our team and take charge of financial operations with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and strategic planning for Londonist brands and companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, advanced Excel skills, and extensive experience in Xero. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to lead and train a team, and proficiency in managing various financial functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Utilise advanced Excel functions to generate detailed and insightful reports on a daily basis.

- Demonstrate a minimum of 3 -4 years of experience working with Xero, including advanced-level proficiency in navigating the platform and utilising its features for efficient financial management.

- Apply comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles to ensure accurate financial records and reporting.

- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Credit Control functions to maintain optimal cash flow and minimize risks.

- Generate daily reports using Excel to provide key insights into financial performance and areas for improvement.

- Lead the Credit Control function, implementing strategies to mitigate credit risk and optimize collections.

- Professional Experience: Bring experience from a reputable CA firm, preferably from the Big 20, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and expertise in financial management.

- Train and mentor team members on basic accounting principles and long-term financial planning to enhance overall departmental capabilities.

- Ensure compliance with VAT, HMRC, and Company House submissions, maintaining accurate records and meeting regulatory requirements.

- Implement robust controls to maintain financial accuracy and mitigate risks effectively.

- Cash Management: Oversee cash flow management, including forecasting, budgeting, and optimizing working capital to support business objectives.

- Review CRM reports for completion and accuracy.

- Oversees internal, external and regulatory audit process and ensures compliance.

- Chasing upcoming and overdue payments through CRM and making calls to debtors accordingly.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

- Must have CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent qualification.

- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.

- Proven track record of leadership and successful team management.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis tools.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
