The UK Safran Electrical & Power team has expertise in designing and developing electrical systems comprising generators, power conversion, distribution and control, with developing expertise in electric motors for aircraft propulsion. The Role As an International Trade Officer at Safran Electrical & Power you will maintain the trade and export compliance of the company. You will assist the team in developing and creating export working practises at the Pitstone facility. You will coordinate internal audit processes and implement improvement actions to optimise performance as directed by the Trade Compliance Manager and Senior International Trade Officer.

• Actively engage with all aspects of the business to ensure the business is compliant with all relevant regulations
• Manage day-to-day activities including Daily Block Report circulation and ensuring invoice approvals are accurate
• Provide advice and guidance on general export queries
• Coordinate the business internal export audit processes, continuously improving actions to enhance performance and efficiency
• Coordinate all exports, application and reporting requirements of required licenses to maintain compliance with all applicable export legislation
• Ensure new starters with the business maintain export compliance
• Support the Senior International Trade Officer and Trade Compliance Manager as required

Job requirements

We are looking for candidates with a range of skills and experience, but we're also keen to help people grow and develop in this role. If you have some or all of the following, we'd love to hear from you:

• Well organised and experience keeping records
• Knowledge of import and export compliance regulations, including ITAR & EAR
• Comfortable interfacing with all stakeholders including customs brokers, forwarders and suppliers
• Aptitude to learn how to use in-house business systems efficiently
• Knowledge of aerospace or manufacturing beneficial
• Excellent analytical skills
• Evidence of written English at interview stage
