Job Responsibility:

Working hours: 16 hours per week (Flexible approach - Monday to Friday work pattern)

Working contract: Fixed term contract for 1 year

Interview date: Week commencing 29th July 2024

The Studio - Whittlesey Salvation Army Corps is looking for someone who can support the Corps Officer in assessing the needs of the community and make recommendations for the overall programme agenda in alignment with the Corps Mission Development Plan. You will be able to plan, design, implement and evaluate specific art and craft programmes to ensure they are fit for purpose for the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

The post-holder will be responsible for development and delivery, and evaluation of creative community programmes within The Studio and out in the community to deliver the aims of the Mission Development Plan. These duties will include the coordination activities of volunteers and demonstrating both a professional and caring manner when interacting with programme participants to create a welcoming and supportive environment.

The successful candidate(s) will:

Have proven experience delivering creative programmes, art and craft sessions, interpersonal skills, previous experience in a similar environment and in managing volunteers, be able to work on their initiative and as part of a team, enjoy working with people, and be able to deal tactfully with staff, volunteers and the public. It is important that the candidate understands the community's needs and has proficiency in English. Candidates must also be committed to the values, aims and ethos of The Salvation Army.
