Job Responsibility:
*EXCITING OPPORTUNITY - Disability Dance Tutor** Term Time only
We are seeking team members to join our Born to Perform Dance / Performing Arts Team. We run weekly Saturday sessions at The Bee Hive, Kingsthorpe for children and adults with down syndrome and other disabilities.
Saturday Hours: 9am - 12.30
Our group featured on 2022 series of Britain's Got Talent and received the iconic Golden Buzzer from David Walliams.
Born to Perform staff are dynamic, fun loving team players who go the extra mile! In return, we offer competitive pay and the opportunity to be part of something magical. All sessions are supported by trained and experienced support staff.
Saturday position may lead to further work within our day service during the week at The Deco Theatre.
Job Description:
□ Teach children and adults with disabilities dance at their weekly Saturday Dance class
□ Be a positive, friendly face for members whilst joining in with the sessions
□ Encourage members to grow in confidence and independence
□ Support members to make friendships within the group during sessions
□ Generally be a team player and work with other staff members to run a fun, uplifting session
Requirements:
▪︎ Experience in supporting people with Disabilities (preferable but not essential)
▪︎ Must be available for most Saturdays during school term time
▪︎ January / February 2023 start date
▪︎ First Aid & Safeguarding training
