Hours: 20 hours per week to be worked flexibly over weekdays and weekends

Rates of Pay: £11.44 - £12.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Expenses occurred will be met by the employer.

About the job: The purpose of the role is to provide support, companionship and motivation within the home and local community to a 34 year old male music lover with a passion for cars, driving and all things retro and vintage. The service user is an occasional wheelchair user and will also require support with some every day tasks (particularly 2 handed tasks). The service user has previously suffered with severe anxiety and depression and would benefit greatly from a support worker with experience & understanding of these conditions.

Main Tasks:

Support to access the community and to socialise frequently Support to increase their independence, assertiveness & confidence Attending events that the service user may choose Providing motivation to access different events/activities Support to schedule/plan their week and appointments Supporting with finances and decision making Support with every day independent living tasks Providing reassurance where needed Prompting/guidance in regards to healthy food choices

Person Specification:

Be punctual, reliable and flexible Non smoking preferred Must be reliable, honest and trustworthy Establish a professional standard of care, which should be maintained at all times. Be prepared to undertake any training that may be required to meet the needs of the role. Ensure that due consideration is given to health and safety at all times. Respect and safeguard the goods and property of the employer. Respect privacy and uphold confidentiality at all times. Driver preferred - If you use your own vehicle whilst working then you will require business use on your car insurance Ideally experienced with mental health and physical disabilities
