Job Description

We are looking for a natural rapport builder with a relentless attitude to sales to join our expanding team as an Area Sales Manager. A good personality and sales ability are key to your success in this role.

You will be working remotely in the South of England, travelling between various existing and potential customer sites to. It is therefore essential that you hold a current and clean UK driving licence. Overnight stays and a large amount of travel will be expected.

With this role you truly are in charge of your own destiny, with an uncapped commission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identification, development, and creation of business interest & sales leads.
  • Managing sales targets and growing business sales revenue.
  • Discovering prospective customers and conducting sales visits.
  • Recognising and assisting clients to identify their requirements.
  • Maintain frequent customer contact and develop strong relationships by providing support.
  • Tender negotiation and contract terms & conditions to meet the needs of the customer and business.
  • Plastic industry trade show representation

Skills & Experience:

  • Plastics ancillary machinery knowledge is a massive advantage in this role, however, sales knowledge within other plastics or manufacturing processes can be considered.
  • Extremely self-motivated.
  • Must be reliable and capable of operating without constant supervision.
  • Business-to-business (B2B) sales.
  • Professional approach; customer facing and by email, phone, video call, etc.
  • High level of commercial awareness - customer focus is key.

Requirements:

  • Proactive business development experience.
  • A background in consultative sales. This is not a car sales type of job; it can take months of negotiations and meetings before an order is decided upon.
  • Experience in use of computer programs such as MS Office and database systems.
  • Good time keeping skills.
  • Excellent communication ability.
  • A clean UK driving licence is preferred for onsite training experiences.
  • Very strong work ethic.

Package:

  • Salary negotiable plus uncapped commission
  • Company pension - salary sacrifice available.
  • 25 days holiday / annum. Running Jan - Dec.
  • Fully expensed company vehicle.
  • Work phone and laptop PC.

Pay: £30,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
