We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Underwriter to join our established and experienced Underwriting team here at RSA Horsham on a hybrid basis.

Your Role

Your role will be working with selected brokers to optimise profitable growth from selected broker accounts. You will use a range of underwriting, relationship management, and business development techniques to optimise sustainable and profitable business growth. This will include new business cases within our agreed process and defined risk appetite. You will spend a majority of your time working with your selected brokers, identifying, discussing, negotiating and converting new business opportunities and making effective underwriting decisions. You will win new account relationships and secure profitable business within the authority level and risk appetite, whilst generating new business and prospect opportunities.

About You

To be successful in your role, you will ideally require experience within Commercial Insurance with either an insurance company background or a broking background.

You will have experience with effective broker account development and management. Great communication skills, that are responsive and play into being an effective team member will be key to your role. You will have experience in delivering results in line with goals and objectives.
