How You Will Energize Our Team.

Work as part of a team to support the Collections department with the day-to-day administration, with the goal of reducing the risk of bad debt and escalating our problem accounts through to our relevant partners. The administrator will work closely with customer accounts, internal departments and third-party agencies to resolve payment issues and ensure all processes are compliant.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Follow process instructions to complete tasks accurately and on time for example;
  • Using templates to send collection reminders through the post and SMS
  • Telephoning meter operators
  • Sharing payment updates
  • Respond to emails from customers, suppliers, and other teams at Valda
  • Accurately records and logs interactions
  • Ensuring accounts progress through disconnection path in line with expectations
  • Create effective professional relationships with key stakeholders across the business internally and externally
  • Meets regularly with line manager to give feedback to help improve customer service, response time and the staff experience
  • Willing to learn to apply company policy and process to customer solutions
  • Supports the company ‘one team' culture
  • Any other tasks set by your team leader

The Spark we're looking for.

    • Effective time management skills
    • Microsoft Suite literate
    • Experience with mail merge software preferable
    • Ability to organise priorities, set priorities and multi-task
    • Effective problem-solving skills and able to analyse data
    • Self-motivated, confident work ethic and good communication skills
    • A team player with a willingness to learn, train and adapt to an ever-changing environment
