Data Business Partner - Business AnalystGlasgow

As a Barclays Data Business Partner - Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the delivery of an evolving capability within the CDO focused on meeting data quality and control standards across multiple areas of the business. This is a unique role for someone with a solid project delivery experience, but also a willingness to investigate business challenges at a detailed level across data sets, operational processes, business controls and applications.

What will you be doing?

  • Being responsible for investigating and evaluating data to understand the availability, meaning and suitability of data to be used within the function
  • Taking responsibility for defining requirements & specifications for proposed data remediation efforts to meet regulatory commitments, risk controls & business objectives
  • Analysing and documenting relevant business processes finding opportunities to streamline activities and reduce duplication of efforts or redesign the processes
  • Being responsible for delivering impact assessments and business cases to senior stakeholders to obtain buy in for CDO proposed recommendations
  • Managing a designated set of Risk, Finance & Treasury Data Domain(s), facilitating engagement to strengthen the data quality and drive towards a data-led end state
  • Spearheading the governance of mandatory metadata ensuring accuracy and completeness within the Barclay Data Catalogue in line with the Data Standard

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in data management, risk and controls within a financial services organisation, at a senior level
  • Demonstrable track record of successful project delivery and adapting to a changing environment across multiple priorities
  • Excellent communicator, both in written reports and verbal briefings, and exceptional stakeholder management skills, briefing senior leaders and influencing decisions
  • Previous experience in business and data analysis within a complex end-to-end architecture

Skills that will help you in the role

  • Risk, Finance or Treasury business knowledge and understanding
  • Process improvement or Lean Six Sigma certification
