As a Process Improvement Business Analystyour main responsibilities will be to:

  • Work with limited direction to identify improvement opportunities to key processes for efficiency & simplification, focussing on business and user needs.
  • Apply Lean & user-centred design principles to improve processes.
  • Use business process modelling & analysis (BPMA) tools, methods & standards, such as Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN).
  • Drive process analysis across all involved functions & stakeholders (including operations, projects, engineering, supply chain, IT & support)
  • Consult with stakeholders to understand process problems & translate them into functional & non-functional requirements.
  • To conduct cross-functional meetings, as needed, to interview a designated group of users (focus groups) to understand & address their needs, define problem statements & appropriate solution requirements, analyse & document processes.
  • Collect the data required to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of process inefficiencies & to identify their main drivers, from interviews with managers & employees & other available data sources.
  • Determine/map the AS-IS process, obtaining the context in which the process is performed, & the value generated, the pain points that exist & propose creative solutions to deliver efficiencies & scalability.
  • Identify & compare the best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring & evaluating outcomes to promote standardisation across the business.
  • Determine/map TO-BE processes & work with/support as needed on process implementation planning.
  • Conduct options analysis, assess feasibility & impact, & quantify potential business benefits.
  • Contribute to solid business cases & selling messages to articulate the value proposition to advocate for & support the change.
  • Work with other Business Analysts within NRS, especially within IT Business Analysis Team to ensure common ways of working & Learning from Experience.

You'll have relevant experience in:

  • Significant experience & Professional level BA qualifications especially in Modelling Business Processes & Stakeholder engagement
  • Proven Process Improvement experience & skills to design/establish more efficient processes.
  • Formal training in LEAN methodologies & demonstrated proficiency with Lean concepts (Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban) & their application to help drive process efficiency.
  • Discovering/identifying/investigating opportunities for improvement in both processes & the data around them.

You will also have these Qualifications/Skills:

  • HNC or Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Technical, Management.
  • Ability to be self-sufficient by driving initiatives & executing tasks to completion.
  • Excellent analytical skills (listening, questioning, challenging, modelling)
