HSBC Asset Management (AM), the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
Based in the HSBC AM Data & Analytics Office (DAO) and reporting to the Global Head of Data & Analytics Office, the role holder will serve as the main point of contact for all data-related service enhancements and prioritisation. This position entails overseeing various data services such as the Security Master System, Investment Data System, Funds Data Service, Client Account Master, TA Data Service, ESG Data Service, and more. The key objective of this role is to establish a central focus for service excellence across all DAO services within the Asset Management business, encompassing both public and private assets. Success in this role hinges on the ability to effectively manage stakeholder interactions and drive continuous service enhancement.

In this role you will:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for addressing any Data Service-related issues and collaborate with the DAO Data Management Support team to uphold operational service in line with consumer needs.
- Cultivate relationships and maintain regular communication with key stakeholders and users of DAO services.
- Guarantee the production of regular communications (including KPIs) and clear articulation of service offerings, while supervising the Service Review process for each value stream to ensure uniformity.
- Take charge of the Continuous Service Improvement Programme for DAO. Incorporate consumer feedback into the backlog and activity prioritization.
- Establish and uphold service standards for other DAO teams and devise a framework for establishing and managing KPIs to gauge the effectiveness of DAO services.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Its essential to have prior working experience within financial services. Some understanding of the Asset Management industry to be able to discuss data-related concerns with key stakeholders is highly desirable.
- An understanding of Service Management principles such as Incident, problem, change, and knowledge management is crucial. A holder of the service management certification ITILITSM is desirable but not essential.
- Prior experience of working as a Data or IT Service Manager would be beneficial.
- An understanding of Product Management principles, specifically how Data Products are constructed from Data Services building blocks would be desirable.
- Collaborative team player with a creative mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and skills in project and stakeholder management.
