The Opportunity

Arup Architecture is a team of 70 Architects based in central London- we are part of Arup's global studio of 250 Architects. Our ambition is to deliver buildings which are simple, purposeful, efficient and beautiful. Our team enjoys unparalleled access to Arup's world-class specialists together with cutting edge hardware and software which together allow us to take on the most challenging projects for our clients.

As a Senior Architect in our team you will be part of the delivery of significant and complex projects in the Science and Industry and Technology sectors, working as part of large, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable ‘Total Architecture' on an international scale. We are looking for talented designers who are ambitious and curious with excellent personal, written and graphic communication skills.

The role will see you:

  • leading project teams working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment
  • being responsible for the successful delivery of projects under the supervision of the Project Director
  • participating in new business development activities
  • leading design development, reviewing & presenting using drawings, physical & virtual models
  • collaborating with other disciplines to produce fully coordinated project information including BIM models, drawings, schedules and specifications

Is this role right for you?

We're looking for a candidate who:

  • Is an Architect with post part three experience of the design and delivery of complex, highly technical projects working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Has expertise of all stages of the design process from feasibility to handover, particular recent design and construction background in technically complex facilities.
  • Has experience in client facing activities including business development.
  • Has background of working in a BIM environment is required.
  • Is fluent in spoken and written English and has strong graphic communication skills.
