Job Introduction The salary range for this position is £45,680 to£49,588 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.This is a 12-month fixed term contract / secondment opportunity. About the Team Sitting within the Planning, Performance and Support service, the Business Intelligence Team develop mechanisms for monitoring, analysing and reporting performance. The team provides impartial scrutiny, challenge and ongoing review of our internal performance, giving us the opportunity to understand and share our areas of best practice. This allows us to identify areas that needs further support and supports the directorate in demonstrating how we are performing against our strategic objectives and corporate ambitions. About the Role We are looking for a Business Intelligence Team Leader to lead the team in developing and implementing performance measures across the directorate. As the Team Leader, you will engage and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout the directorate to develop processes and systems to provide accurate data, reports and intelligence enabling the business to monitor performance, evidence its achievements and identify areas for improvement. We are seeking an individual with the ability to cultivate strong working relationships, who can successfully engage and challenge with stakeholders at all levels. This role requires the need to interrogate data, so the successful applicant will need to have keen attention to detail, with the ability to draw out key themes and trends appropriate for the audience. Shortlisting Criteria To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:
  • Ability to develop appropriate systems to monitor and present performance data
  • Experience in analysing complex data for a variety of senior stakeholders, being able to draw out key themes and trends and identify areas for improvement
  • Confidence to deliver performance reports/summaries to a variety of different stakeholders and amend your delivery appropriately dependent on audience
  • Experience in building strong and trusted relationships
  • Impeccable professional standards, working proactively and autonomously with excellent attention to detail
