Position:
We have a vacancy for a trainee operational administrator to join a team handling groupage trailers to various European destinations.
Main Duties
- Help to plan Export Groupage trailers.
- Responsible for monthly P&L on designated service(s).
- Develop key service relationships with customers and overseas agents to provide an efficient and effective service.
- Choosing most effective and profitability means of transportation when dealing with several agents in same country
- Quotations for customers, negotiating best possible rate for Simarco and ensuring that exporting trailer is maximised.
- Ensuring appropriate transportation is used for goods to be transported
- To ensure good internal communication between key departments, customer handling, Transport and warehouse.
- Provide completed manifest to warehouse
- Complying with all Exportation Documentation
- Ensuring good Geographic knowledge of the country you are servicing.
- Resolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficiently
- Ensuring site and customer objectives are achieved
- Gain a full understanding of our ISO/AEO systems
Hours
Monday to Friday
09:00 till 17:30
1 hour lunch break
Requirements:
Key Skills
- Experience of working within a customer service or administrative role.
- Experience working in a logistics role is desirable but not essential.
- Pass Grade in GCSE English & Maths or Equivalent.
- Computer literate and able to learn how to use new systems effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
- Confident using Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Good attention to detail when handling data.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
