The team The OCIO Client Service and Operations team sit within the Solutions business (Schroders Solutions) and is primarily responsible for managing various operational and client service activities relating to bespoke mandates in respect of large and complex OCIO clients. The team is core to the future growth of the OCIO business by supporting all complex operational and service needs as part of the overall client experience.
The OCIO Client Service and Operations team work closely with the Solutions Investment Team to combine the operational delivery of client's portfolios with an excellent client service experience.
What you'll do The role supports the OCIO Client Service and Operations team in the ongoing operational and service delivery to OCIO clients. There are several aspects to this:
- Being a client service point of contact for trustee and corporate stakeholders at major OCIO clients, auditors and other service providers (including internal supporting services)
- Maintaining a log of investment transactions and monitoring of available cash balances
- Processing investment instructions, investment calls and cash transfers
- Managing information and data collation from fund managers for ad hoc projects and requests
- Assisting the team on manager performance analysis and monitoring
- Management and oversight of external service providers
- Completion of operational forms e.g. account and market opening forms
- Completion and maintenance of market and client tax forms
- Checking and processing of professional and fund manager fees
- Assisting with regular portfolio reporting and regulatory reporting
- Ad-hoc projects identified by the rest of the team to extend the OCIO operational and client service proposition
- Support ongoing processes involved in the day-to-day operational management of the assets
- Ad hoc support to investment teams in the day-to-day management of the assets
- Work with other Schroders teams to ensure delivery of client objectives
- Work with other Schroders teams to improve processes and integrate into Schroders framework where possible
- Contribute towards the future growth of the OCIO business
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Knowledge of investment operations for traditional asset classes
- Knowledge of Private Markets investments and how they operate
- Experience working directly with fund managers, transfer agents and custodians
- Experience and knowledge of the processes involved in day-to-day operational management of assets
- Knowledge of on-going portfolio and performance monitoring
- Ability to use Excel effectively
- Ability to problem solve on a range of operational issues
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and oral
