Let us tell a bit about the opportunity

As a Property Underwriting Associate you will work as part of a small team to support and manage applications for Residential and Buy to let mortgages for both individual and company applicants.

The role acts as support to both underwriters and brokers to ensure that the journey of each application is effective, efficient, and seamless for the customer.

As a Property Underwriting Associate you provide exceptional service to customers, intermediaries, and solicitors, applying all necessary tools and the use of supporting systems to ensure appropriate decision making on all tasks is completed and ensure that the bank is lending responsibly, and customers are treated fairly.

The team are based across our Wilmslow and Manchester offices, so you can be based out of either location. The team work either 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, you can choose a shift pattern that suits you.

What will your day look like?

  • You will review and screen applications to ensure all packaging requirements have been met and all applicant data has been correctly keyed.
  • Deliver exceptional service to our customers and brokers and act as the lead contact on cases during the application process
  • You will review documentation and supporting information and manage the pipeline of applications for the underwriters
  • Support the education of brokers in best practice in case submission, use of the portal and system and understanding our proposition and packaging requirements
  • Support the management of a large volume of mortgage applications, ensuring all underwriting activities are prioritised to deliver against service KPIs
