Job Responsibility:

About The Role

As the Head of Finance - Operations you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate operational financial data to the business. You will interrogate large amounts of data to gain business insights and protect the business assets through financial integrity.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for the operations finance team
• Support purchasing team on stock holdings and purchasing forecast
• Responsible for production of weekly manufacturing/ transport pack
• Prepare weekly financial commentary on volumes, manufacturing and material variance, fixed costs and site margin
• Responsible for weekly MUV/PPV/MPV analysis
• Responsible for direct & indirect labour analysis
• Responsible for site / transport fixed asset register
• Review outcomes of weekly PI counts
• Review weekly accounts for operational numbers prior to submission
• Work closely with System & Data lead ensuring all master data is correct
• Responsible for ensuring all systems are aligned
• Support on identification of process improvements

About You

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

• Qualified Accountant or equivalent (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience of a recognised ERP system (preferably IFS)
• Previous experience gained in a manufacturing role
• Excellent attention to detail, quality and accuracy
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to clearly communicate in a professional manner
• Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to deal effectively with both colleagues and suppliers
• A lasting commitment to 'doing the job right' and challenging the status quo
